PHOCA’s product converts waste plastic into a mixed hydrocarbon gas—mainly methane, ethane, and propane—comparable to pipeline natural gas but cleaner, with reduced soot formation. Under optimal conditions, the gas produced by the PHOCA prototype burns with a blue flame.
